Beginner Ballet -

This class is geared toward students with little or no ballet training and toward those students who would like to fill the gaps in their knowledge of classical technique. The concentration is on teaching students correct alignment, ballet positions and steps and exploring efficient movement values. It is also a great way to keep in shape, correct posture and strengthen your core muscles.

My name is Tanya Shortt. I have been performing Burlesque for two years with the Lovecats Burlesque Troup. I have studied Ballet for the past twelve years including performances in Ballet. I have also studied various dance styles and techniques including Jazz, Modern, Tap and Contemporary dance. I have been teaching Jazz and Hip Hop for the past three years in schools and community centres around Wicklow and Dublin, I am also curently teaching for Dance Theatre of Ireland.
