Colm O’Toole

Colm O’Toole

I have been surrounded by sports and fitness for as long as I can remember.

My studies into fitness, exercise and health began in 2003 when I began a four year degree course in Sport Science and Health in Dublin City University, which I graduated from in the class of 2007. After taking a break to teach P.E for a year in John Scottus Junior School, I returned to academic life in 2008 and undertook my master’s degree (MSc.) in Exercise Rehabilitation in Bangor University. This was completed in 2009 and I graduated in 2010.

In 2009 I returned to Ireland and founded my own company, Injury Management Ireland where I created and supervised Injury rehabilitation programmes for mostly GAA and soccer players. In 2010, I was employed by North Kildare Rugby Club as a match day physio for one of their senior teams, a role I have retained for the upcoming season.

Since 2003 I have been involved in implementing adult and underage training programmes for teams and individuals, particularly in the off and pre-season. These have been both successful and popular and have gone a long way to determining my attitude and vision of personal training.

I have been on both sides of the training experience and I train people and teams as I would like to be trained. Its fun, its always different and its never easy. Its also a teaching exercise so

Although I may have a laid back approach to training (and life), each and every session is based on the latest scientific research and has been prepared for you and nobody else.

And remember: PREDICTABLE IS BORING. Don’t forget that when you think you know what’s in store for you during a session!!

Sinead Wallace – Tai Yoga Massage Therapist & Yoga Teacher in 21st Zentury  Thursday’s 7.15pm

Sinéad has over 400 hours of training in bodywork including Holistic Massage, Trigger point therapy and Ayurvedic Yoga Massage but when she discovered Thai Yoga Massage she knew she had found something really special that she would practice and share with as many people as possible.

To understand all aspects of this healing system, Sinéad traveled to Thailand to immerse herself in the world of Thai Massage at its origin.  She spent 4 months studying this ancient art form in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand – her mission to absorb as much knowledge and wisdom as her teachers could share.  She studied with the Sunshine Network, Ajarn Sinchai Sukparset, Lek Chaiya’s school for Nervetouch massage, and the Sunshine School – completing courses in Thai Yoga Massage, Nervetouch Massage, Therapeutic Thai Massage and Movement Dysfunction Assessment & Treatment using Thai Massage.

Sinéad is a qualified yoga teacher, having trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa with Tribe Yoga in Goa, India. She has also studied Yoga Therapy at Byron Bay, Australia to deepen her understanding of bodies, energy and how massage and yoga can work together.

Sinéad is very excited to be back in Ireland to share these ancient healing forms.

“ Every new experience of yoga and bodywork has deepened my love for it.   My desire to spread the increased well-being, joy and flow that they have brought into my life grows every day.”

Come  experience  the  magic of Thai  massage  for yourself!

Teresa Murphy-Moore

Teresa teaches Yoga Flow @ 21st Zentury Health Tuesday mornings at 10am

I’ve always visited YOGA classes from a young age and always aware of its magic. But never fully committed to the practice until several  years ago now, in the form of ASTANGA.

Practising this particular style fuelled my passion and hunger for YOGA as it cured my spine, hips neck and shoulders from an injury and tremendous pain along with the bonus of a stronger fitter body and mental clarity.

I went to train in northern India at an Ashram(a spiritual school)one of India’s oldest Ashrams that accepted western students and where the certification is the only one approved of by the Indian Government, and connected to YOGA ALLIANCE. What I discovered was not only real life flexibility, core stabilization but tools to learn how to follow your own wisdom, intuition and heart. YOGA is right in line with how your body was designed to move and operate. In the western gym world, strength, flexibility, cardiovascular training is separated into components, where as YOGA combines all these components and relaxation via breath work and meditation.

Pamela McCormack

21st ZENtury Health was founded by Pamela McCormack.

After working in the health & fitness industry for over many years, it was a natural progression for me to open a Personal Training & Wellbeing Centre of my own.

My approach nurtures and supports all dimensions of your health & wellbeing, by helping you create balance in your life.

Pamela McCormack

I was first drawn to complimentary therapies and exercise for its stress relieving benefits in the year 2000 which had a hugely positive effect on my life. I then went on to study a two year Holistic Health Course in 2003 and on completion of this course, traveled to China for Clinical Experience in Four Major Chinese Hospitals in 2005, which was an amazing experience.  I then went on to study Pregnancy Massage & Prenatal exercise, which is one of my most enjoyable treatments.  Since then, I have been practicing a full range of treatments from my South Dublin treatment room and I have been working as a therapist for several companies including Google, An Post, Postbank & The Elbow Room.

21st Zentury Began….

I have always wanted to set up my own business ever since I was a young child growing up within our family business.  Since leaving the family business ten years ago I dreamed of opening a place for the community to share with…it took me a while but since I opened the Centre I feel I have come home.  I looked for a suitable venue for at least 3yrs & I pasted the Aquarium Building on the Esplanade in Bray everyday while going for my walk on the prom & always said “I wish someone would do something with that building”, eventually I decided that I would do something with it;-)  It has been the most amazing experience of my life to date and I have met the most incredible people who all love the Centre as much as I do;-)

I truly believe that everyone can achieve a healthy and balanced life and I endeavor to assist people to attain this, which will enhance their life quality and work life balance.
