21st Zentury Salsa Dance Class is in our beautiful Studio in Bray Co. Wicklow, near Dublin, 2min walk from Bray Train Station. So whether you are coming from Greystones, Enniskerry, Wicklow or from Dublin, Killiney, Dalkey, Dun Laoghaire or Dublin City our Salsa Class is within easy access for you.
This class is tailored for anyone who would like to explore this spontaneous and lively dance with an attitude. We are going to cover the basic step and body movement typical to salsa in an entertaining, practical and fun manner. At the end of this course you will be able to Dance Salsa at an Improver or Improver 2 level.
About Monika
Monika has been a dance instructor and performer now for almost 6 years inDublinandPrague, teaching Salsa (LA, Cuban), Bachata, Merengue, Salsa Aerobics (Cardio Salsa) and most recently Zumba.
Monika started teaching with small salsa school I Dublin, but also had her own classes as well as 3 years experience teaching with one of the most oldestIreland’s Salsa and Dance school Afrimania and theNationalDanceAcademy.
Monika has taken up her first dance classes when she was 6 years old. Her passion for sports has a background in a small town nearPraguein theCzechRepublic, where Monika had the opportunity to try out different sport disciplines such as tennis, basketball, athletics, swimming, volleyball and also aerobics, which gave her deeper understanding of fitness and cardio.
Monika then later developed her dancing skills also by learning some of the world’s most common couple dances such as Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Cha Cha, Jive, Mambo but also Country and Ballroom dancing (Waltz, Vienna Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Slow Fox, etc.) orCaribbeandances like Kizomba, Zouk or American West Coast Swing (most modern practises fuse with Contemporary Dance).
Falling in love with unbounded salsa and sensual bachata Monika developed her own style inspired by modern version of West Coast Swing and fuses them with Contemporary Dancing, which makes her style unique not only in Dublin and Ireland, but also internationally.
